The first version of Chris sus (now) classical Solaris theme.
2005 was a great year for Subtitles, and this 12" is one of the proofs. The Solaris theme is a liquid monument, using samples of Natasha McElhones voice on the Solaris movie by Soderbergh.
The ones who saw this complicated and slow Sf movie will remember hows important the sample, because "Chris what it is ? Dont you love me anymore ?" is the story key of the film.
So Chris su (using the sample for is own name ?) really respect the original film with his production. He used the shaped strings of the OST for his background ambiance, and put the all thing together with a wonderfull sub-basse which is growing up on mediums while the track rolling. Just a break for remember the voice and the end of the track combinate the basse of the start with a four key melody that will stick in you mind for days.
The b side, Back and forth is a classical jump up basse line with liquid programation on the drums. A starter for all dj that beging his session with funny stuff before becoming real, but the real piece of the 12" is the Solaris theme.
Such a shame that everyone forget this one for the vip version of Solaris, because i think that this one get a better production and have better sequences than the vip.
Dont miss it !
