This is by far the better out of the 2 albums they produced. The first album was too old in style and carried on the 80's sound too much, it was a great album, but "Affirmation" proved that these guys can make music based on a song writer's point of view. Instead of just going for radio pop, Darren wrote from his experiences from the breakdown of his marriage, and living halfway across the globe, to losing loved ones.

Musically it is mature compared to the first album, and Darren's life experiences is reason. Amazingly this album was produced while Darren lived in America and Daniel stayed back in Australia. Some would say that type of plan would end up disasteress, but in fact it made the album better.
