The cover is full of hints regarding the passing of McCartney (rumored car accident). When I'm watching the cover for a while it just freaks me out! The sad atmosphere (;it seems to be funeral, but very colourful though)and the many famous faces, dolls and puppets, it seems unreal.
There are also a couple of hints hidden in the lyrics (read them on the backside). For example you can read the lyric Harrison is pointing to with his right hand. Also McCartney is betrayed as a dead looking up from his grave.
All the songs live up to the quality the Beatles are known for.
Beatlemania was definately running wild at the time this record was released, unfortunately I'm too young to talk about that.
