Solar Fields - Extended

First, when I heard Magnus had done a "spacemusic"-album, I frightened a little bit. I'm fond of his fine ambient-style with experimental and minimal flavour, so I couldn't imagine, why he had changed his influences. Then, I bought the disc. And I simply couldn't stop to listening.
I always knew that, but now, it is a fact: Magnus is a genius.
He mixes spacey sounds with his well-known style in a very intelligent way.
Although, it's a limited edition, in many sites it is still available, so it's not late to got it.

While "Leaving Home" acted as the soundtrack to a futuristic city on some other planet, "Extended" would serve well as the sountrack to floating above the planet in space... slowly drifting and watching.

This CD is clearly space ambience and is a much more slow and mellow version of Leaving Home. I really enjoy this album, sometimes even more then Leaving Home - my only complaint is that these 2 albums should have been released in a double album set instead of separate/same date releases.

They really do compliment eachother and if you like his Leaving Home album then this limited edition extension of it is a MUST.
