With a lineup of both well-known and unknown artist this compilation promises to be interesting. Im glad to say that it keeps its promise. Varying from smooth ambience to more distorted beat-driven melodies, it somehow manages to tickle me in the right spots throughout the entire release. Combined with the fact that the tracks fit together perfectly, this not only makes it usable as a soundtrack to daily life, but also as a listening experience. It sort of reminds me of the Intelligent Toys compilations on Sutemos. I wouldnt say that about many compilations, but this one deserve it.
There is one thing that bothers me though: In all this well and goodness i keep longing for the really GREAT track. The track that grabs you and holds you, and never really looses its grip. "Saturnine", "This Is", "Post Card Sent From A Plane Crash" and "The Grain of Truth" all have the material but dont really make it.
But hey, its not like Im complaining. Im just saying that if there just was a liiittle more greatness, this very good release would be given free tickets to netlabel heaven.
