The thing that I find most remarkable about this album is that I cant put my finger on one thing that makes it incredible. Im not sure if its the beautiful, ambient synth work or the throwback-80s-metal guitar riffs (described by someone else as "hard candy riffs" -- a fitting description), but this album is stunning from front to back. When listened to in the right mindset, its great for zoning completely out. It also makes great background music for most kinds of parties. Its very difficult to describe the sound of this band, because I havent really heard anyone else who sounds like them. When I interviewed them, however, I suggested that they were a louder, darker, gothic version of SSQ, and the guitarist seemed to agree (hes apparently a big fan). Lovers of gothic rock or synth rock will enjoy this album immensely.
