The two songs performed with Ben Harper, especially the mighty Indifference, are worth enough to see this show. Otherwise you're getting one of the great highlights of the 2003 tour, with the band literally surrounded with enthusiasm and satisfaction of the overpacked Madison Square. The one who put the setlist together must have known this was going on camera, but somehow managed to glue an amazing thing out of the 'regular-special stuff' that followed Love Boat Captain. The gig clicks in right from the start, without major showing off from the band's one and only, but rather with a highly intensive chemistry among everybody involved, from third party viewers to lead guitarist (who looks fatty). And even with the major finale that lasts for about five songs, Pearl Jam did not show all their tricks, saving something for the night after. Great show, which demonstrates the band's special forces. Was the above review useful to you? (report)
