- Seriously, this is some fantastic music. People are always saying "Crank It Up!" on their favorite rock records, but crank this up and you will be in for a ride! Lucky to have a clean original mono pressing...it's the bomb. Even though I am a rock fan first, this is some good stuff! I'm going to buy one of the reissues just to see how it compares. Great album and so full of life!
- Edited 2 years agoThey were so totally VEGAS back in the 50's and 60's when they ruled the roost in the lounge in the Sahara. Hotel and Casino...Louis and Keely were so damn fun...to listen to...see...and make some of the best "LIVE" LP's ever laid down on wax... He wrote some MAJOR hit songs over the years...plus what made them great was his long time back up guy and his group of wailing musicians...Sam Butera and the Witnesses were beyond phenomenal and they worked on stage with Keely and Louis from midnight until dawn, show after show in the Casbar Lounge...This album is a PRIME example of Louis and Keely and their tremendous appeal on all their Capitol LP's...TRUE Las Vegas history here!
- When it's Sleepy Time Down South is a great track. Everything I love about Louis is all right there and the band is swingin'!
