An absolute stunner album from Detroits hero Omar S. The tracks an Oasis 3 scream originality, produced in an effortlessly low key and dirty minimal detroit sound that really sh*ts on everything else these days. However the track Oasis nineteen REALLY caught me surprise, A sublimely simple percussion loop reminiscent of something from a tribal ritual deep in south Asia accompanied with some live cutting and knob twiddling. This Track has POWER and last time I dropped it a party it got a few strange reactions at first but it seems the crowd really got into its pounding hynoptizing rhythm as the track builded. All in all an exceptionally forward thinking/visionary LP!!
