I asked myself when i ordered this one: "How do you remix this little gem without ruining a classic?" The answer is let RITM do it, and man did they ever. Having the remastered original on the A side is a beautiful thing, but the RITM Reset mix on the flip is a slice of pure audio evil, with the creepinees of the original brought to its full sinister potential. Crisp, techy electronics, sinister, industrial tinged synths and skull pounding beats with the whacked out vocals from the original make this one superb. 214's Tactical Unit mix finishes out the B side with a minimal, quirky breaks interpretation.
I love it when a tune leaves me with the urge to sleep with the lights on and check under the bed for monsters, and this does it. Sure to freak out some poor unsuspecting kiddies at 4 am, requiring large doses of thorazine and years of therapy.
