My god, what a return for Pantytec! After a long break since the phenomenal "Pony Slaystation" LP and remix 12" (with Daniel Bell, Ultrakurt and Isolée remixes) in 2002, this is the first original production for Sammy Dee and Zip sine then, and my, it was so worth the wait. The A-Side "Maybe" is by far the stand out tune, with punchy kick, impressive programming which builds this tune into a serious groove... then it drops this wonky sax about 2/3 way through that is unbelievable. Both times I've played it so far, I wait for this part to see peoples reactions and they're expression is along the lines of "what the f%*# is that!?". A true minimal funk weapon proving that Pantytec are an undeniable force. The B-side is also great, a bit darker, sounds a little like something Ricardo or Luciano would make but rolls out with great deep stabbing chord and changing drums, a hypnotic winner.
