Although space music is far from a new concept, what sets this album apart from its competitors is overwhelming competence at achieving this objective. Mixing "back-to-basics" techno with samples of voice-like synth pads, dub-influenced vibes, and some jungle atmospheric sounds, this space music is not like the traditional new age one might expect from such a setting. Moving between trance inducing rhythmic drum loops and strange wild jungle-sounding atmospherics, I:Cube paints a picture of space travel which is more earthly than alien. While this may seem a strange combination of influences for planetarium music, techno and ambient lovers will appreciate the end product.
