Anyone who already has the three albums thus far will find "Musique Vol.1 1993-2005" fairly inessential. However, the DVD and presence of the brilliant B-side "Musique" might entice some fans at the right price (myself included). Overall, the CD seems focussed on tracks from the "Homework" era, which many consider to be their best period. Given their fairly small catalogue, it is surprising that this compilation be issued at all, but what is more surprising is the absence of the single "Digital Love" both from the CD and the DVD. Instead, time on the CD is wasted with "Rollin & Scratchin" (which does not seem to work in any context other than a live show), and three remixes of other artists tracks. All of these tracks could easily be ditched in favour of "Digital Love", "Burnin" and "The Prime Time Of Your Life", the latter two of which only appear on the DVD. However, it is good that the occasionally painstaking "Around The World" is featured here in edited form, and the same with "One More Time". Another surprise is the absence of the "Fresh" filmclip from the DVD. These alterations would certainly make "Musique..." a more definitive compilation of their work thus far.
