Reviews & Discussion

Review by Renaud Mar 19, 2008
As previously stated, this first release by French DJ/producer "Lady B" is an amazing piece of music. Its hypnotic notes and its driving lyrics never fails to make people crazy on a dance floor. It took me a few years to find an extra copy as the original vinyl I bought was scratched.
If you see this record, simply buy it!
A favorite of Frenchman Laurent Garnier back in the days, and a track featured on his Mixmag mix cd.

The Groove Is Going (Evolutive Hard House Mix) is one thrilling nasty hard decadent disco-house number with acid ticklings, fuelled with poppers, Es and champagne. A proper rush on any dancefloor, and apparently Lady B's first recording effort, made within a few hours just for fun. It is still one of his very best moments, together with his wonderful tribute to Detroit 'Cruisin Around Motor City' on Goodlife.

What can you say. "The Groove is going" is one of the best deep techno pieces that I've heard in my life. I was introduced to this gem by Laurent Garniers MixMag cover mix in the 90's. Only problem is, that when I hear this tune I automatically start waiting for Davina's "Don't you want it" :-)

Nowadays a very hard to find record.
