This is truly a great record. I think it's a shame that these two tracks of the Linear Accelerator album were the only ones to be released on vinyl. But, I must say, these are two top quality tracks.
Myon-Neutrino has a very strange feeling to it, feeling off course is one of the most important things in music. I hear great mystery in this track; where am I? what will happen? It sounds like I'm lost and someone is calling for me, but I can't see him. I just can't place it, very interesting.
Z-Boson is definately way up there in terms of alltime great electronic tracks. It's great depth and ongoing melodies take will take you to a different dimension, it is a great journey time and time again.
These two tracks don't sound anything like the previous releases by Dopplereffekt. The tracks on Gesamkunstwerk are less experimental, they are more dancefloor oriented. It's quite interesting to hear the musical development off Gerald Donald. I'm looking forward to perhaps even more Dopplereffekt releases in the future.

I love this releease... It's not another standard electro slice, but a pure electronic-ambient. Which has got a solid
conception. Sounds rythmic, mysterious and variable... This two tracks are like a poetical description of some non-human race or nature of another dimention. Much respect to beat-masters for producind material for meditation and relaxation.
Original, haunting and atmospheric pieces of future music.
Both can be played at 33 or 45 on it's own or try running a beat along with it and see what happens...
I fully agree with unitary - this had the hairs on my arms standing to attention! Excellent futuristic soundscapes - reminds me of some quality John Carpenter - in fact I think they should be given a serious sci-fi movie to soundtrack - they'd do an excellent job.
hey people c'mon, we're not living in times anymore
where 'electro' is defined by a standard beat. these
tracks do not contain any drums but they're rocking like
hell, especially in the morning hours. i played z-boson
during the last hour of a party in a local club and the
people were going mad !!! switch on delay on the mixing
desk and you'll know.......... what a fantastic record,
gives me the goosebumps...........
an experimental record that does not fit the normal charecteristics of a dopplereffekt track. im just wondering why they didnt release this under another moniker and give us the sound which we truly love. the true sound of dopplereffekt!!! not this.
