Recovering from the commercial 'freefall' created by the awfully sketchy 'Outside The Gate' did not start with this album, but at least the band was reforged with Martin Atkins on drums giving the group back a pulsating, dangerous edge. This release did nothing really but make ears bleed and neighbours complain. The tracks are diamond hard and as heavy as anything they've ever done before or after. Geordie's riffs and chords are frighteningly good, the lyrics are socially, politically charged and and (sometimes) subtle. If you want HEAVIOSITY you will find it here, the production isn't great but kind of adds to the overall murky feel of the album. The bludgeoning effect of the band on tracks such as 'Intravenous' and 'Slipstream' belie the craft of the songs. Titanic!
