This is probably one of my least favorite Skinny Puppy singles and yet I find myself listening to it still and sometimes humming the baseline in my head. I think it's due in large part to the samples and the way they're laid out. There's also 3 or more styles of drum patterns in the mix version that keeps me coming back for another listen, still 20 years later! The video wasn't something I enjoyed a whole lot either, but it's still fun to watch just for the "back-in-the-day" memories.

S&F is an incredible track that I only appreciated far after I first heard it -- dark sexy breakbeat, completely original and unique. The breakdown is incredible, it sucks the air out of the room and still gets me jabbing my fist to the beat.

BUT not to mention the best remix of Assimilate, only other place to find on vinyl is the twin release to this EP, the Chainsaw EP, and 12" Anthology. It blows away the original and has Tom Ellard lending his skills.

Track for track one of the best things I own.
