The entire work of this album is commendable, but the last track, ‘Albedo 0.39,’ is absolutely brilliant. As the properties of the Earth are being recited, Vangelis enhances the listening experience with serious, yet delightful, ambient music. The track is intelligent and even feels special, like, the duration of a total eclipse. It just doesn’t get any better than this, right here.
