FLuViRuS, Jan 27, 2007 The album Altar has been released in various formats, but this Japanese release is the most complete and sought after. There are only 1000 copies, all sold out! Featured are great extra tracks: (i) "The Sinking Belle (Black Sheep)", a meltingly beautiful instrumental of her sister "The Sinking Belle (Blue Sheep)", and (ii) "HerLipsWereWetWithVenom", a drone epic featuring Dylan Carlson (of Earth). Here, the intention of a long and painful kiss of death is clear: the boys mount a metallic wall of grinding guitars that is searingly hot, diabolic, and relentless. Blessed with the rest of the superb tracks on the original Altar (reviewed elsewhere), this release is a perfect 10 out of 10.Was the above review useful to you? (report)
