Minilogue ‎– Elephant's Parade

I was about to write my first negative review of Minilogue, until I got to the flip-side of this release. Birdsong is what saves this entire musical trip, if only because Elephant's Parade is totally uninspiring, and really goes...well....nowhere. Very much unlike a true parade... it makes me scratch my head and want to ask these boys what they were thinking.

However, Birdsong redeems the whole vinyl. This is more Minilogue mastery, with sick sounds and grooves. Personally, I love the jazz influences in this song, and over the last 5 or so releases by these guys, I have discovered just how eclectic their taste in music truly is.

This is not typical "club" music, but some of the deeper and more forward thinking clubs would eat this stuff up... once again, Minilogue makes us envious that we are not them... if only the whole release could live up to their prior standards....
