Right from the outset, it is obvious that this Peaktime compilation will live up to it’s name and be one pumping double mixed CD. The Swiss Dave Joy, known for his quality Hard Trance involvement for ten years, teams up with the home-grown Yoshi to create the eighth instalment in the series. Disc one features the overplayed Energizer Reworked by Desperate Deejays, mandatory Masif DJ’s tunes and a cover of Marc Aurel’s Running by Phil York & Chris Hoff. Yoshi briefly crosses over into the increasingly popular Hardstyle sound, whilst ending his mix in banging style with Overdrive, in collaboration with Matt Williams. Disc two follows a similar banging path, with only minimal variation through Dave Joy’s mix. Unusual artists such as CJ Stone, Hemstock & Jennings and DJ Shog are included, blending in nicely to the pumping track-list. If you enjoy the vibe of the Transmission series, you’ll definitely want to snap this CD up.
