No less outstanding as an album in its re-pressed edition as it was in its original form, naturally. This appears to be the place in which Wolfers ties together his moroderesque-disco and 80s horror-film soundtrack influences together most convincingly. The result for me, is an LP which on the surface seems to be brimming with psychopathic malevolence, but deeper down - and following some dedicated listening of course - it reveals itself to be subtle, beautiful and groovy (in an unashamedly glitter-ball disco fashion in places). And given that its packed from cover to cover with genuine analogue sound its actually warm, human and reassuring. Whether the Illuminati theme was a bravura conceit or a happy accident, I feel that in years to come it could well come close to being vindicated as well chosen. Masterful indeed.
