Notes:	From the Overground website: "...23 tracks compiled after many years of research and groundwork, not least finding the bands that in most cases split before 1984! So, having listened to over 1000 recordings from vinyl, demo cassettes, unreleased studio recordings and live gigs we finally settled on 23 tracks for the first volume, 10 of which are previously unreleased." T1 taken from Dirt's "Just An Error" LP. T2 taken from Zounds' "War/Subvert/Can't Cheat Karma" EP. T3 from Metro Youth's recording session on a four-track machine at their local rehearsal studio in 1981 ("Brutalised" that appeared on "Bullshit Detector Two" 2xLP compilation came from the same session) T4 recorded for a Flowers In The Dustbin album that never appeared. T5 recorded in September 1982 in Southern Studios; appears also on the band's "The Unknown Revolution" EP. T6 was the first ever song by Political Asylum. The version here was recorded live in February 1989; appears also on the band's first full length LP, "Window On The World" (1990). T7 recorded in 1981. It originally appeared on "All Done By Mirrors". T8 taken from Anthrax's first demo (Oakwood Studios, 1982; "All The Wars" that appeared on "Bullshit Detector Two" 2xLP compilation came from the same session) no info on T9 T10 taken from The System's first demo, recorded in 1982. T11 recorded in Exeter in August 1983, taken from Sanction's one and only studio session. T12 taken from Instigators' "Nobody Listens Anymore" LP, recorded at Woodlands, Castleford, 5th/6th January 1985. no info on T13 to T17 T18 taken from Naked's "1982" 10-track demo, recorded at GTS, Rochester in 1982. T19 taken from Omega Tribe's "Make Tea Not War" compilation (on Rugger Bugger Records). no info on T20 T21 taken from Faction's "Through The Window" Tape (on the band's 96 Tapes). no info on T22 T23 recorded in approx. 1980/81. Some tracks/artists are listed inconsistently on booklet inside/booklet back/back sleeve: T4 appears as "Novembers Song" on booklet back page and back sleeve. Artist for T7 appears as "Astronauts" on booklet back page and back sleeve. Artist for T12 appears as "The Instigators" on booklet (p.11).
