If you loved Love Inc.'s earlier house bangers such as "R.E.S.P.E.C.T.", you might be disappointed by this album. On it Mike Ink samples various classic records (as seen on the album cover), but the results sound mostly watery and lame. Life's A Gas is more like soft rock with a house beat than the sort of futuristic electronic stuff you'd expect from Ink; even the remix of "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." is clearly inferior to the original. An interesting experiment, but not a particularly successful one.
there are samples or replayed parts from all artists that are on the album cover involved in this project. who finds them all ? the easiest must be HOT LOVE (Mike's Mix) - LIF'S A GAS (track 10) is perfect chill out sound to drift and drift and completely forget about time + space.
