I first got turned on to Morgan Geist through his Metro Area releases, but "Super" is as good if not better than anything Geist has done with Darshan Jesrani. "24K" is an amazing track, but the real surprise for me on this release was the last track, "Lullaby." On most of Metro Areas songs, the live instruments blend in with the electronics, but "Lullaby" has a really prominent trumpet solo that evokes a black and white-era Manhattan—something along the lines of films like "Killers Kiss" or "The Man With the Golden Arm"—at least thats what it reminds me of. Timeless and evocative.
