The A side includes one of the weaker tracks on Secedes full-length Tryshashla. With its repetitive bassline & shuffling beat, it doesnt match up with the creativity of other tracks from that release. Standpeeks on the other hand would fit snugly into Kettels My Dogan CD. It has a light, acid tinged melody & is a passively listenable. Kettel then give a busy acid workout to the Secede track, it moves around amongst a couple of tempos and brief beatless segments before fading out for the last track. Secede then reworks the Kettel track from side A to a sunny & dubby departure which has little resemblance to the original. Even though two of the tracks on this 12" are remixes, each of the four tracks stand independantly from eachother & offer something unique from the others.
A light, creative and varied album from two young talents.
