Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5

A great head-to-head that sees two of the best bass heavy producers/DJs deliver the goods of that period. This mix exemplifies the sound of that time: hard hittin', 2 Steppy-breaks and all encompassing bad bwoy basslines.
Dubstep was just being born and people like Zed Bias, El-B, Oris Jay and the Horsepower productions had laid the foundations for the bass heavy movement that has permeated most facets of electronic music now.
Between tracks 11 and 12, Menta's Sound of da Future is played, but this is not on the tracklisting.
Props to Oris Jay for playing Jameson's Switch too - sick, sick tune.
