Reviews & Discussion

This release rises above the average Merzbow material in terms of hardness and harshness by more than just a few levels, and is certainly one of the most firmly over-compressed productions of all time.
Rated 3/5

Definitely one of the loudest thing Masami has ever bothered to put out, but it doesen't do much more. Layers upon layers of static, which isn't really his usual style. The unexperienced might think that it's what all his albums are, but trust me, that is not it. There's much more varied albums released under the Merzbow name. After the three first tracks it just comes off as total boredom.

That said, it's definitely one of the best album covers ever.

This release is what I use as an example of non-mainstream music. It is wonderful, powerful and awe-inspiring. I have never heard anything louder. Compression works miracles. A must have, if you listen to noise.
