No doubt, there's a hint of the smell of cheese about this LP. It's rather pretty and predictable. Don't expect to be surprised. Yet I've become a fan of it precisely because it has no pretensions to be spectacular: I like the piano-house characteristics and unobtrusive synthy tweaking. Plus I find the spiralling arps created from simple melody and delay just the right side of trance for me. Simple and cool like Tread.referencing Special Life, CD, Album, KOMPAKT CD 19
Yes, it is an excellent album indeed. Organic Tech House, almost Techno of all tempo-ranges with very slight Trance characteristics. All I can say is that anyone interested in contemporary Tech-House should have a look at this quite original and unusual production.
"Special Love", another one of Kaito's albums, consists of actually the same music like this only without beats which means that it's concept is much more that of an "Ambient version" of this album.

Easily one of the absolute BEST cds from Kompakt, EVER...which is suprising, given it's non-Kompakt-like mix of House, Ambient, but most of all Trance (shudder)...which actually works so well it's amazing nobody's pulled it off quite like this before. Stunning, beautiful chords on propulsive beats and an immense emotive depth make this a near-perfect album.
