Funk D' Void* - Dos Review by scoundrel May 17, 2004

referencing Dos, CD, Album, SOMA CD23, Soma CD23

Funk D’Void’s second album (appropriately entitled Dos), is packed full of more quality tech-house. The album starts with the beatless “Odessa,” but the next track “Barnabeats” quickly put you back on track for the dancefloor. But the real beats don’t kick in until “To Ya Waistline,” and by that time, you’re ready to groove, and “Obrigado” shifts you into gear. “Diabla” is appropriately dark, while “Magnolia” has a soft Southern charm to it. “Sketch of Spain” is presumably a tribute to the great Miles Davis and carries a quiet jazziness. While it’s not as outstanding as Technoir, Dos is still quite the dose.
