Somehow underrated, or could it be that with no promotion whatsoever it just slipped under everybodies radar.
Whatever the case, Roland Bone's mixed CD, "Active Agent" rolls along OK. Minimal techno/tech-house anno 2007 dominates the entire CD, so for you who are not tired of it yet, or are just seeking out some quality music of the type, this could be your shot.
The standout tracks are all brought by the veterans: Phil Kieran, Der Dritte Raum and Hardfloor, but if you just let the CD play through, I doubt you'll find any major flaws in it, be it flow wise or track selection issues.
So, there you have it: a crucial label trying to keep up with the evolving times, meaning that Harthouse isn't at the forefront any longer, but rather going with the trends instead of creating them. Nothing bad about that either. Just a lil' funny, that's it. But the music is no fluke. Nothing funny about it, no sir. There is no filler material, but slim chances anything off this compilation is going to reach the techno superstardom either. Hey, who says everything has to!
