A Jeff Mills classic, made with a keyboard and EPS 16 Sampler. This man is really FAST at the mixdown, and he knows the shit. Phase 4 is a remix of "Der Klang der Familie" , another early Tresor classic. The vinyl has been remastered in 2002 or 2003, sounds much better than the CD version.
Punishing intense techno at its rawest-
nearly 20 years old but still the sound of the future, some classic tracks from the master of minimal- These tracks are what a suicide assasin robot from the planet axis is thinking.Danger_meltdown_ error
error error error-_reboot.Jeff Mills has the ability to say more with a drum beat and a sound effect than any musician alive today- listening to this album the whole way through is a brutal and dark journey-reboot Highly recommended to anyone who wants to know what techno is about intelligent _subversive and dangerous!
This Record in my opinion was and remains a revolution in dance music.
I will allways remember the first time i've heard this in the shop
when it came out.
It contained a new soundscape that stunned me.
Jeff Mills re-invented Techno with this and set the pace
for all the hardcore Techno to come.
The mixture of highly distorded drum machine sounds and synths
with punchy and groovy rhythms created a new vision of techno and opened a door path to a whole new style.
I'm not so much a Mills fan anymore today but in the time this was massive and revolutionary.
If you like Techno you must have this.
