Absolutely love this record, remember hearing "Deep Inside" on a college radio station "alternative" mix show back in '94 and later on a mix tape that was passed around from pull out to pull out car deck within my crew. Wish I had a dollar for every time a young cat comes up and asks, "Hey, who is that?" Classic.
Just some tight and crisp beats with that simple plink-plonk synth-line. It is truly amazing track hence how simple it is.
If you listen closely, each element in it (The beats, the synth-line, the Bass line and the piano vibes), it is kinda dated, but all these put together makes the track so fresh and groovy and make it stand out for years to come.
It is also fun to mix in CJ Mackintosh remix of "Beautiful People" right after "Deep Inside", which is the same track but with vocals, then make the crowd go more wild and bring the track to new heights. Anyone can take 10 minutes of is believe me.
Another aspect to the story of this record is that it was put together in Erick Morillo's old Studio in New York.
