Red Reflection - Prelude To Annihilation Review by Reticulum_Flux Nov 06, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
An album that sadly gets next to no recognition. Prelude To Annihilation is the soundtrack for a fantasy movie that never was made... Thats what I consider it at least. Tracks like "Withering World" and "Every Failure" are tribal sounding full of action. "Nearly God" and "Touched By Fire" are two quiet, piano-driven songs that are for the more calm moments in this unmade movie. My personal favorite here, "In Vertigo", creates visions of being up above a valley somewhere in the wilderness.. with a soothing wind blowing. This is a very cinematic feeling album.. and if you enjoy cinema quality music, this one is for you. A nice blend of rhythmic noise, IDM and ambience.
