DJ Teebee* - Through The Eyes Of A Scorpion Review by scoundrel Jul 27, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Dark stuff from DJ Teebee on THROUGH THE EYES OF A SCORPION. But the darkness is tempered by moments of soul ("Silent Depths", "Tribal Jedi") and thoughtfulness ("Severed Dreams"), rather than by a steamroller. The toughness of "Frequencies" is is leavened by the careful beat structure; likewise, "Lost Souls" flits between drift and aggression effortlessly. A few tracks try to wear their darkness a little too much on their sleeves ("The Void," "Retaliation"), but the overall quality is unabated. The second disc, mixed by Teebee himself, is a strong overview of his work, seamlessly blended together into a frothy drink.

DJ Teebee* - Through The Eyes Of A Scorpion Review by robotronic Mar 23, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Very nice product from the maestro of dnb. Teebee created an essential work here. The tracks are composed with a lot of ambient features incorporated. Magnificent strings, deep basses and beautiful pumping drum sets in their best forms... My favorite track here is Blue Rose. I heard it for the first time in the compilation performed by DJ Dara. 'Future Perfect', I hope, you know this one. In conclusion I want to say that Teebee really feels the line between the hard and powerful drum and bass and some intelligent but no less rapid and essential one...

Dark. Very dark. CD1 is actually CD2 - well it is on my copy anyway. Dark, soulful, brooding and virulent - a fantastic album. "Silent Depths" needs to be heard.
