This German duo of Chris Cuningham and Gimmik (aka Martin Haidinger) quite simply creates some of the most emotional, sad and uplifting sequenced frequencies. Each track is carefully mastered and engineered to extract the most from each sound. This is their first compilation with some previously released vinyl EP's (Toy,EVS) and unreleased tracks. Breaky mechanical downbeat with pure analog synths and beautifull light ambient melodies AKA Quality production. Buy and Enjoy

This work is an outstanding example of environmental handling to electronic music. This synthetic symphony is devoted to the sensual depths of listener's inner world. The unique way of expression produced by the album is the result of pure digital art. It's really impossible to express the same feelings using the analogue instruments. Strictly digital romance...
How to begin. I usually don't waste time praising records that I like because most of them have already been given accolades from fellow listeners. I was surpised, however, to see that this album hasn't yet been elevated to "divine". I've been listening to electronic music for a LONG time, as a member of various electro, IDM, and ambient mailing lits across the web. Not that such an experience gives me licence, but I'm hoping it gives me some authority, at least, to say that that Abfahrt Hinwil's album is one of the tightest, most melodic, most beautiful electronic albums I have ever heard in my life. Musicality of this quality has only been heard and seen in Download's "III" album, another artwork of incredible beauty.
While there have been many acts that try to mainstream the downtempo sound, this album has been, perhaps, a fluke in that it incorporate the essence of the dynamic and tempo, without even trying to.
