Perry O'Neil - Reworks EP (Part 1) Review by scout_tryxx Aug 20, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
One of my favourite releases on the label that can do no wrong! First up, we have the Ozgur vs Yilmaz mix of Wave Force. Typical Ozgur-style beats served up here. Good mix, but the original is slightly better. Second up, we have Perry O'Neil's mix of Tribal Shock. Now THIS is a stormer. It translates the original to a totally different dancefloor. It still has traces of tribal coursing through it, as the title suggests. All is well and fine with the chunky beats rolling over you, but when the melody hits....HELL! I never cease to get shivers listening to it. Hypnotic top line, dark and druggy bottom end. This has to be one of my all-time fave prog tracks. Finally, Perry's mix of Roland Klinkenberg's monster track; Monday Groove. Addictive listen, of the highest order...great warm-up material for a prog set.
