Mathew Jonson - Return Of The Zombie Bikers Review by DJ_Defcon May 15, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
"Return Of The Zombie Bikers" is an OK electro/tech house track, but the real party is on the B side. Not only is Mathew Jonson a musical genious, but "Put Your Booty Shorts On" proves him to be a musical magician as he toys with every synth trick in the book. Beat after beat, the unique and playful melody is constantly morphed to its full potential. The synth line is backspun, filtered and bended in every sort of way you can imagine, all over a subtle throbbing bass pulse and a rhythmic percussion loop. This is one of few minimal techno tracks that really makes me want to dance and feel the music- which no matter what type of listener you are, you will find yourself doing. The vocals at the end have a different, high-pitch effect that sounds like a baby Isaac Hayes who knows how to groove.

Mathew Jonson - Return Of The Zombie Bikers Review by amoe Sep 07, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Powerful delay-soaked electro funk with an Eastern-tinged melody squealing over the top and a massive, sinister bassline. The flip has a tweaky acidic melody that builds into a subtle groove, as well as some interesting vocal morphing towards the end.
