Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by Maurautius Sep 01, 2008
This CD has a sound that you don't hear very often. Sure there are traces of dub techno in here but there really is a ethereal and deep quality to these tracks that words just might not do justice. This album fuses house, ambient and dub effortlessly and the result is very magical. Distant hums and female voices fill the world of Yagya. Sending Orbs is a quality label and "Will I Dream In The Process?" is without a doubt one of their most impressive releases. Seemingly limited to 1500 copies for the entire world... I wouldn't dare part with mine.

Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by Vertiphon Jul 21, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
After years of waiting, Yagya has finally released the follow up to his critically acclaimed "Rhythm Of Snow" album. "Will I Dream During The Process?" is similar to his previous album, but I think there's more variety to be found on here. Some of the tracks are clearly influenced by Basic Channel (e.g "Change"), but who cares? When the quality is this good it doesn't matter how similar it sounds to other artists. The background hiss, beats and soundscapes are hard to resist. This album has an epic, heavenly atmosphere in every single track. It's hard to pick a favourite, but I think I'll go for "When They Stood, They Let Down Their Wings". Such a glorious piece of Ambient music. After multiple listens, I like this CD more than "Rhythm Of Snow". Brilliant!

Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by kingwiltsu Jul 19, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Another smashing album from Sending Orbs.
First of all the cover art is beautiful as always with these guys. The music is something between floating on clouds and sinking in ocean. "Will I Dream During the Process?" sure is alot different compared to "Rhythm of Snow", but I think it's a good thing, "Rhythm of Snow" was some what boring and I never could really listen to it, it was just background music. I have never really listened to any house music, so I can't say if this is a blatant ripoff of some other artists and frankly I don't care, this CD is one of my favourites for chilling out.
Have to say it again; beautiful!

Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by asphalteden Jul 14, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
It was a real treat when this release was finally announced. I had heard there was a second Yagya CD in the pipeline due to be released on Mille Plateaux, but the label disappeared before it could happen. This may or may not be the record almost released, but it will not disappoint those who loved the Gas/Basic Channel sound in the nineties.

The musical concept is simple: almost overwhelmingly pretty synth washes and a funky 4/4 kickdrum underpins almost the entire record. It's the kind of music that makes you feel as though you're both floating and drowning at the same time. The bottom line is that if you enjoyed "Rhythm of Snow" you'll most likely enjoy this one, too. Certainly it is one of the most frequent plays in my home, since I got it.

The cover art is gorgeous!

Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by jdcapshew Jun 15, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Quite a departure from "Rhythm of Snow", and I like it quite a lot. The music is an extension of the Basic Channel style, with forceful synth washes over the repetetive beats. There are some nice scattered vocal parts which add, not detract. Yes, it's derivative of a style whose nadir was 6-7 years ago, but if the music is extremely well done in an existing genre, it should be acknowleged. This CD will get plenty of airplay in this household.

Yagya - Will I Dream During The Process? Review by Zauberberg Jun 12, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
What a disappointment from Yagya! After almost 5 years of expectation, Gumundsson releases fake imitation of Basic Channel's minimal/dub electronica. Most of the tracks and textures are so obviously and shamelessly copied, that it deserves a court of trial! Compared to "Rhythm of Snow", this album is an absolute misfortune.
