Mz.412 - Burning The Temple Of God Review by noizetek Jan 08, 2008
This record, which proudly labels itself as "True Swedish Black Industrial", is one hell of a beast. Typical of the CMI label, the record conjures up strange, dark and bleak aural visions with a hypnotic vibe throughout. Harsh noise and dark ambient work hand in hand to produce a truly unsettling piece of work, and with tracks like "Feasting on khristian blood" and "Burning...(gods house)" coupled with the infamous picture of a Norwegian church in flames, you are left in no doubt where the religious standpoint of this record lies. As with any project involving Henrik Nordvargr Björkk, this proves very interesting indeed. The record first came to my attention with the crossover of introducing Black Metal and Noise, which appeals greatly, but I think that the straight noise sections work best, with the one track that is straight up Black Metal being quite messy. Overall though this is a good album for anyone interested in dark and harsh experimental music.
