Tuss, The - Rushup Edge Review by rib Jul 23, 2009
With its classic aphex twin sound structures and classic cylob sound elements, it comes close that these two artists created this wonderful tripple 12" release. It catches a lot of the strangeness of previous cylob releases combining it with the epic synths from past aphex releases.
Every track is different and there are no fillers to be found.
It runs at 45 rpm providing excellent sound quality.
As a whole it is a timeless release that will sound just as great in many years.

Tuss, The - Rushup Edge Review by palaver Jun 05, 2008
Rushup Edge absolutely blows everything else released in 2007 out of the water. After Analord, which was uneven and a bit of a departure from the old breaky stuff, I wasn't sure whether Richard D James would be able to pull it back - but he has, and how. Even though it only has six tracks, each one is incredible, without a single thing out of place. Every track has been tweaked to perfection - if anything, this is the sound of an electronic musician at the very top of his game.

Tuss, The - Rushup Edge Review by sylviothegreat Apr 09, 2008
The Tuss is an electronic music group supposedly consisting of Cornish musicians Brian and Karen Tregaskin, although rumors are circulating that The Tuss is a pseudonym of Aphex Twin or a collaboration featuring him.The usage of a Yamaha GX1, an exceptionally rare and expensive (even at the time of release) analogue synthesizer also seems to suggest that Brian and/or Karen Tregaskin is Aphex Twin, as he is one of the few owners of such a synthesizer in the United Kingdom

Tuss, The - Rushup Edge Review by Zubeldia Feb 10, 2008
What a brilliant piece of music! For me the best thing released in last year.

Brilliant drum programming, creating a real special atmosphere. With for me Rushup i Bank 12 and Synthacon 9 as the most outstanding tracks. At the first listen I was overwhelmed by the quality of the beats, and the mindbending Gx1 riffs (Mr James' favourite...) which have had to be created by an extremely talented musician.

If you like IDM or just very good music a bit left of the centre, you won't be disappointed.
