A device nearly universally praised as a portable, minimal ambient, trance-inducing personal item. Fun, and I concur, however it bears mentioning the cheap speaker and circuitry cause an unintentional audible buzzing that for me spoils the listening experience. The machine has an output plugin, but noise still exists with headphones.
The Buddha Machine website allows free downloads of the loops for those wishing a quality comparison.
I believe there is now a 2nd edition of the machine- acquire that version.

I would say this is not so much ambient or abstract, but rather minimal melodic IDM. This release is readily accessible to any listener, with pleasing melodies and distinct percussive elements. Enjoyable tracks while working online, etc.

Pleasing, modern, electro-acoustic music. I believe this is a better release than "We are the Future 3." More melodic and cohesive.
