This is one of the most amazing things I've heard in all of 2005. The closest thing I can think of to compare this with is Gridlock's majestic "Formless" disc, but "Microbial" is really much less majestic and a lot more intimate. Disc Two isn't as uniformly incredible as Disc One, but it's got some great mixes (Manufactura, Liar's Rosebush, and Broken Fabiola in particular). It's a damned shame that this will only make it into 222 hands.

The post-Heather Wright material is also very nice. The new female vocalist has a more soulful quality & the music is generally a bit smoother. Check "Every Night With You I Die A Little" and the incredible "Gold Coast" version of "Paper House".
