Profile: My first favorite band was Simon and Garfunkel. I remember listening to their LPs from my parents' collection while lying in my bed as a small child, being entranced and confused by the beauty and darkness of songs such as "Patterns," "The Sounds of Silence," and "Scarborough Fair/Canticle."
So, let's just say that Simon and Garfunkel are a gateway drug then.
I used to have a much bigger music collection than I do now, but unfortunately a certain rap video dancer took it out of her attic and left it by the curb while I was in Iraq. Supposedly. Maybe she sold it. A good deal of my recent music buying has been an effort to replace items that I used to have, which is not always easy.
