Flirts, The - Passion (Special Remixed Disco Version) - 03-May-08 04:33 AM
I have the same record. But with another label in the middle. it's not the same as all the ones shown here. It's the well-known red and pink Ramshorn label. Does anyone know if there's a difference with the other ones? Catalog number is the same, as well as the tracks. Cover of the 12" shows the Flirts, just like on the album that was released in the Netherlands. The single has the same cover.
Luv' - 01-May-08 12:46 PM
Luv's first single was called 'My man' and was released in June 1977. In the Netherlands it missed the top ten by not much. The follow up in December 1977 was Dream, dream which didn't enter the charts at all. 1978 was Luv's biggest year. In the Netherlands and Europe they reached two number one hits: You're the greatest lover and Trojan horse. Succes for Luv started in 1978 and not as said above in 1979.
Luv' - True Luv - 01-May-08 12:25 PM
The album is really called "True Luv". Except one album, all the albums have Luv in their name. This is probably the worst album the girls made. The singles from the album that were taken as a single were Ooh Yes I do and Ann-Maria. Only the first one reached the top 10. The songs on the album have the sound of what we in Dutch call "harinkie rolmopsie". The songs are musically close to the music Duth radiopirates use to play, only this time not in Dutch. The single Ann-maria was one of them.
Luv' - Sing Me, Sing Me A Chanson (You're The Greatest Lover) / Everybody's Shakin' Hands On Broadway - 01-May-08 12:17 PM
The real title of this song is You're the greatest lover. The "sing me, sing me a chanson"-part is not included in the title. It reached number one in the summer/fall of 1978. The song entered the charts in week 29 of 1978 and reached number one in week 35 September . The song als o appears on the album "With Luv". The song stayed in the charts for 15 weeks and was a number one hit in a lot of countries across Europe.
