Revision - De L'Autre Côté Des Oreilles - 15-Aug-08 10:19 AM
I must ask myself: "why did i purchase this cd?" Possibly the worst hardcore album i have heard in my life. Completely amatuer, and lacking any skill, emotion, feeling, mood, or energy. This album is minus anything you would ever ask from a 2xcd album, i cant think of one good track! How shit like this gets released is beyond me, it is my suspicion that revision 1.1 know somebody pivotal in the scene. I wouldnt buy this album to wipe my ass with, i dont consider it worthy of such an exercise.
Various - The 3 Hit Combo EP - 08-Feb-08 06:39 AM
One man genocide is an awesome track, such a powerful initial buildup, and then totally takes off at 0:37, and not letting up until the finnish with some insane offbeat manic kick mashing at the very end of the track. So what can be said about That intergalactic track? well, you can probably guess before you hear it. Yes, it is yet ANOTHER re-work of the beastie boys track intergalactic, the most over sampled piece of sound since full metal jacket. Although it has the usual dolphin/Teknoist manipulations stamped all over it, it really fails to impress, simply because its just so un-original.
Note to ALL hardcore producers, PLEASE stop sampling Intergalactic, it is well and truly over-done, and we are all well and truly sick to death of it, no matter what effects you use, no matter how much you chop it up, Please, look further into the infinite world of music and sample something else for christs sake!
Radium - Terminal Trauma - 27-Jan-08 08:04 AM
Radium finally changes his sound, and this is the result? Seems he has gone from bad to worse, this album sounds like it was all made in the space of a day, all tracks just have terribly boring static sounds, with the same use of the exact same effects throughout, resulting in the tracks sounding all too similar to eachother, not even lenny dees repetetive shouting can set "free party animal" apart from the rest. Respect for FINALLY trying something different, respect withdrawn for it sounding like crap.
Progamers - Game After Game - 27-Jan-08 07:50 AM
This album is an absolute failure in every way, i can honestly say i have heard every single sound from this cd in previous audiogenic releases. I cant understand why this progamers project has produced such bad results, since RbMz is a capable producer, and Skoza has produced some top tracks, but i cant hear the signature sound of either artist, it just sounds like radium got incredibly drunk and started playing with his computer. How many disgruntled audiogenic fans will it take for the audiogenic sound to progress? probably an infinite amount, because Radium is making plenty of cash with this horribly boring formula.
Various - Statues Of Sound 4 - 13-Jan-08 07:01 AM
A bit of an up and down cd this one, although i am a fan of a lot of slower hardcore, the tracks apperaring on this cd below 200 bpm sound quite cheap and misplaced, but all the faster tracks are absolute gems. These czechian and slovakian producers really do have a taste for mixing old-skool trance-like melodies with speedcore beats, and they do it very well. The highlight of the album would have to be the Damage Analyse track Returning Remorse. Although the term progressively melodic speedcore sounds downright cheesy and laughable, i can assure you it works, this is an absolute killer track, as are most tracks from this under appreciated speedcore producer.
Probably the best of the Statues Of Sound series so far, and would recieve an easy 5/5 if it werent for a few tracks with there party hardcore sound that really just seem to interrupt the hard, fast, and very dark atmosphere emitted from the most part of the album.
