Tanzmann & Stefanik - Basic Needs - 04-Dec-06 09:10 AM
If you still believe that unforgettable moments come from big gestures you should try to watch yourself more closely: On Saturday nights, clocks go different. Other things become important: An endlessly deep bass, an inescapable groove and these repetitive chords that make you lose your mind…The last months have been quite turbulent for Matthias Tanzmann and Daniel Stefanik. Much time and energy have been put into their labels Moon Harbour and Cargo Edition, the new “baby”. Not to forget the countless nights they have spent in the clubs around the world – sometimes together, most of the time each for himself. It has been more than a year ago that they released a record together – now the join again to bundle their experiences. “Basic Needs” (A1) is a pure club tool – it’s all about this one chord, this one groove, these ‘basic needs’ that can decide about a whole night. Phage and Normen Webber know this all too well – as they show with their “Luna City Express Remix” (B1). They slow down the pace a bit to make the chords come even deeper – tracks like this should be available as endless versions. Afterwards, Tanzmann & Stefanik close down with “Drifting” (B2): A dubby track with oldschool flavour and nice chord modulation that will make you… drift, of course.
Terence Fixmer - Hold Me - 31-Oct-06 07:44 AM
"Passion" is EBM Techno to absolute perfection, and those who want to know what Skinny Puppy could sound like in 2006 definitely can't go wrong with this energetic track. No less forceful, but more strongly stamped with the driving handclaps of the Detroit Techno of the early Nineties as heard on Labels as "+8" or "Underground Resistance", the Flipside-Track, "Hold Me", presents two more soundtracks, of equal length, for this energetic State of emergency.
Honesty - Honesty EP - 08-Dec-04 01:25 PM
AFROCHIP-is a hommage to the jazzy Detroit Techno Style and comes along with tickling organsounds, shuffling hihats and snares. Cute acid for advanced.
MONKEE BIZNIZ-Shows how mad the Space Teddy can be. Scary and absolute trippin' Sounds. In a way one step beyond. Not for Raves. For the Dancefloor!!!
Magic Carpet Did Honesty used to live in Detroit? Twittering sounds over a steady Beat makes this Track hypnotic and you dance. 10 minutes of rhythmic Madness.
