Profile: Since the mid 1970s I've been an avid listener and collector of creative, unusual and experimental music and audio work in general. Initially it was my interest in European progressive rock and electronic music, as well as Zappa and Beefheart in America that steered me in this direction, and then with the explosion of independent music labels and underground music zines in the later 70s and early 80s my interests broadened into free jazz and improvisation, industrial music, modern avant garde composition, musique concrete and audio art.
I've hosted radio programs, run a mailorder music distribution service, organized performances, wrote zine articles and reviews, and corresponded with many artists, labels and collectors worldwide. Over the years I have also collected and compiled information on various independent artists and labels. I have extensive label discograpies that I cannot post on this site due to incomplete information, but I'd be happy to share with like-minded collectors looking for bits and pieces of information.
