Unknown Artist - The Duke Of Hazards - 20-Nov-07 04:32 AM
A release very much in the Cassette Boy vein.Although this is an uncredited white label, starts off with a George Bush and Tony Blair parody about the Iraq invasion and even Jeremy Paxman and Newsnight make an appearance when he interviews Tony Blair ,then we move on to a XXX version of that much loved children's book Black Beauty. A cut n paste edit of an Audio book version which turns this book into a weird tale of a young girls love for her horse.

Trench - Want U Baby / Outta The Trench - 30-Mar-06 12:00 PM
Again in the second release..Alan and Chris hit the spot with an excellent release very much in the Morel/Morillo style ...Good Kicks and Percussion and the moody organs in the background.....but can you spot the vocal sample on Outta the Trench.....it's a Spanish vocal, and the rumour mill has it that it was lifted from a Madonna track....this again is top notch from Alan and Chris

S'Xpress* - Hey Music Lover (Spatial Expansion Mix) - 25-Mar-06 02:38 AM
This is in my opinion William Orbit's finest remix....first you take a classic Acid House Top 40 track....which can stand on it's own merits...then William Orbits get's his mitts on and and turns it into an all-time classic which can still fit into a set today.....it's hard to pigeon hole this one ...as it was made before the need to give every classification under the sun ie ..TranceBagProgTechScouse... it was just a good tune to shake yir ass to ..William Orbit Beef's up the original keeps most of the vocal which could bring a smile to anybody's girning face..., stretches the drum breaks to make it more dancefloor and DJ friendly some nice percussion...excellent acid washes....then comes a 3 minute percussion break telling us .."It's a screaming orgasm" and Mr Orbit cut's up this sample and mutates it to make it all his own...it's one i still drop when given the chance to..

Grid, The - Floatation - 10-Mar-06 10:56 AM
This band are probably remebered for their more uptempo tracks like Texaas Cowbaoy and Swamp Thing ...although these tracks are top notch, they pale into insignificance when compared to this Legendary track...it definately reeks of the "Balearic Sound" of the late 80's early 90's....it does have comparisions with Bocca Juniors-Raise and A Man Called Adam-Barefoot...it sits at about 110 bpm..deep bassline ...husky female vocal that sounds like she is whispering sweet nothings.."Floating on the Land..Floating in the Sea..take my hand ..and come with me"....then to top it off it has a lazy flute that is the icing on the cake...it has probably been on every Ibiza compilation going ...but who give a toss it's still a shining example of Mr Weatherall excellent production and his knack of turning good tracks into timeless anthems...

Tom Tom (6) - The Iron Hamma - 10-Mar-06 10:56 AM
This has to be one of my favourite British House tracks ever...just head straight for The Iron Progress and see what i mean...it has a very Chicago/Marshall Jefferson-Move your body feel to it with it's Piano riff that just keeps building...very strong with the percussion then in drops a cheeky wee hammond riff...building up to a drumroll crescendo..then kill everything then yor left with an excellent guitar riff.....definately peak time ..a guarenteed floor filler....
