Solar House - Magic Of The City - 23-Jun-09 01:42 AM
This song is disgustingly beautiful, geez.I simply love the Kerri chandler remix, its smooth, sultry and does not stray away too far from the original but maintains its own distinctive sound. The Kerri Chandler remix has the classic Kerri Chandler sound, without the classic Kerri Chandler keys, but it is perfect. The Original mix is jazzy and smooth, whilst the Solar Dub is more stripped down and works perfectly as an interlude between sets. The vocals and the trumpets in this song are unbelivable.Like its name states,Magic of the city, this song is magic.

Ben Watt - Guinea Pig - 20-Jun-09 01:06 AM
This song is absolutely brilliant. This is an example why Ben Watt is regarded as one of the best producers in the world. The amount of detail in this song is unbelievable. The simple, but brilliant panning bassline is testiment to Ben Watts brilliance. It is very difficult to listen to this song and not feel the brilliance of Ben Watt. The vocal variation is simply fantastic, however in my opinion it is the musical variation which really hits home. The musical variation is stripped down, but allows you to hear most of the small details in the song that you dont really notice in the vocal variation. Both sides will fit in perfectly with any deep/deep tech set.

Asli (3) / Jay Tripwire - Collection Of Moods Part 4 - 24-Mar-09 11:23 PM
Monster, monster, monster release from Real Tone Records.Collection of Moods Part 4,wow.Asli & Jay Tripwire dish out some fine releases and leave little to be desired.Hawkstring is deepish, jammy and a killer tune. This is the kind of tune that will get people bobbing thier heads to.Return to the dark forest is intense, dark and deep.As you listen to this song you actually feel the journey Jay Tripwire is taking you on and the different elements that come in and out throughout the song gives the song that dark, deep sound. If you are playing a deep set then this is the song for you.Enjoy.

Various - Secret Weapons EP (Part Three) - 16-Mar-09 01:09 AM
Innervisions have really gone above and far beyond with this epic release.First up is Point Gs Headache, and this song is really on point, deep and really hypnotic.A great start to this EP.Next is Madioko n Rafikas Ellelli(Kalabrese Remix) which starts out unassuming but then the vocals sweeps through "Ellelli" wow.A beautiful deep, minimal tune that will work perfectly with any deep/tech/minimal set.The B-side begins with Jark Prongos Helios, and you can immediately hear the different influences in this compilation.Helios is more tech and in your face than the songs on the A-side,but dont get it wrong because this song will turn you out and spit you out.A gradual build up and subsequent climax will leave you breathless. Finally last up is Oscar Gs Chunky Buddha which is really a wicked tucked in deep-tech song which like the other three songs in the EP and compliments every song in a set. This is the deepest Secret Weapons Ive heard and definately one of the most impressive.WARNING:This EP is not for chance-takers because it will ground you into the floor

Roy Ayers - Virgin Ubiquity Remixed EP 5 - 08-Jan-09 05:57 AM
Oh yes, yes, yes. What an absolute stunner. This release has it all, from start to finish every song has a different feel to it.Phil Asher starts things off with his remix of Brand New Feeling, the remix is a upbeat whilst the dub is a bit deeper, but for me Kwajilori(King Britt remix) and Come to me (All the Franck roger remixes) are the true stars in this remix EP.Jazzy, soulful and deep is the order of the day where this release is concerned, with upbeat and soulful tracks. This release should wet the appetite of any Dj or collector.A real collectors item
